Our Mission
At Rize, we're tackling one of agriculture's biggest climate challenges: rice farming accounts for approximately 12% of global methane emissions (30% in Southeast Asia - equivalent to air travel emissions). As the second-largest agricultural methane emitter after cattle, rice presents a massive opportunity for impact.
Our three-fold mission:
- Decarbonise rice agriculture: We aim to eliminate 100 megatons of carbon emissions by 2040
- Enhance farmers' bottom line: Organise farmers in Southeast Asia and bring tangible value to the rice value chain
- Build a globally trusted platform: Create a network where new technologies can be deployed to improve farmers' lives whilst reducing greenhouse gas emissions

Where We Operate
- Vietnam: Mekong Delta region (approximately 4 million hectares of paddy)
- Indonesia: Java Island, with specifically targeted areas for technology adoption

What We're Hiring For
We're currently hiring for:
- Product Managers (Associate PM, PM, and Senior PM - 2-5+ years of experience)
Role Overview
- Team structure: You'll work in squads with product managers, engineers, and designers
- Location: Based in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) or Jakarta/Java Island (Indonesia)
- Language requirements: Fluency in English is essential; fluency in Vietnamese or Bahasa Indonesia is expected
- Reporting: Directly to Chief Product Officer
- Work style: Fully remote with regular field visits
- Field work: You'll visit farmers, communities, and stakeholders. Expect to get your hands dirty in rice paddy fields, install technologies, and build close relationships with farming communities

Synthesis ability is crucial. Many product managers can gather information, but the best can take disparate, fragmented information and synthesise it into an actionable execution plan with clear recommendations on next steps.
About Your Manager (Tudor)
I've been in product for 15 years, with two successful company exits. I've lived in Singapore for 12 years and have worked across multiple companies. What drives me is building product with passionate people who can surround a problem and create the best solution.
I believe that distribution is sometimes more important than the product itself. I'm constantly learning through podcasts, best practice research, and staying current with product management and design craft.
What motivates me intrinsically: Elevating people through technology. My previous company worked with unskilled labourers in a marketplace, helping them achieve better financial outcomes. At Rize, I'm continuing this mission by elevating farmers' livelihoods whilst reducing carbon emissions.

Core Product Management Skills
As a product manager at Rize, you'll need a solid foundation across several key areas. Some of these you should already have mastered; others we're happy to develop together as you grow with us.
- User-Centric Design Thinking: Ability to empathise with users, understand their needs and pain points, and translate those into product features.
- Technical Proficiency: Understanding of the technical aspects of app and web development to effectively communicate with developers and make informed decisions.
- Data Analysis: Skill in interpreting user data and analytics to guide product decisions and improvements.
- Agile and Scrum Methodologies: Familiarity with agile development processes and the ability to work within sprint cycles, managing backlogs and prioritisations effectively.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise between stakeholders, users, and the development team.
- Project Management: Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and resources effectively.
- UX/UI Knowledge: Understanding of user experience and interface design principles to ensure the product is accessible, intuitive, and engaging.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Experience in overseeing the product from conception through launch and beyond, including managing updates, iterations, and feedback loops.
- Strategic Thinking: Skill in setting product vision and strategy aligned with business goals and user needs.
