Product Manager - AI & Operations
About Rize
Rize (rize.farm) is a leading Agri‑Tech startup building solutions that make rice cultivation more sustainable while improving farmer livelihoods in Asia. Formed through a joint venture between Temasek, Wavemaker Impact, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, and GenZero, we manage 1,800+ farmers across 1,500+ hectares in Indonesia and Vietnam.
We’re building the world’s first AI‑powered ecosystem for sustainable rice cultivation — transitioning from human‑managed operations to AI‑driven workforce automation over the next 2–3 years.
The Opportunity
We need someone who understands operations deeply and is excited about using AI to solve real problems.
You might be:
- An operations manager who’s been experimenting with ChatGPT/Claude to automate workflows
- A PM who’s built side projects using AI APIs and wants to apply that to production systems
- A software engineer interested in product management who’s been playing with LLMs
- A business analyst who’s created custom GPTs or automation scripts to streamline processes
We care more about what you’ve built on your own time than your job title.
What You’ll Build
Starting with our workforce management platform that coordinates 50+ field agronomists.
Automate Operations Tasks
- Scheduling automation: When a farmer’s planting date changes, automatically reschedule all dependent tasks (pipe installation, drying events, collections)
- Smart notifications: Send the right message to the right person at the right time via WhatsApp/Slack etc
- Data validation: Flag suspicious entries (GPS too far from field, photos don’t match location, dates don’t make sense)
- Collections intelligence: Predict which farmers will pay late based on historical patterns
Scale Through AI
- Photo verification: Auto‑approve/reject field photos for carbon credit compliance
- Farmer chatbot: Answer common questions in local languages via WhatsApp
- Advisory assistance: Help agronomists diagnose pest issues from photos
- Report generation: Auto‑create weekly summaries for territory managers

- Why you’re excited about AI in agriculture
Part 2: AI Portfolio Showcase (3–5 min)
- Walk us through 2–3 AI projects you’ve built
- For each project, show us:
- What problem were you solving?
- What did you build? (Show screenshots, demos, or code)
- How did you use AI? (What prompts, what tools, what approach?)
- What happened? (Did it work? What broke? What would you improve?)
- Portfolio Links
Include in your application email:
- GitHub/GitLab repositories (if applicable)
- Live demos or deployed projects (if applicable)
- Screenshots/videos of your AI projects
- Documentation or blog posts about what you built
- Prompt examples or system prompts you’re proud of
