Rize is modernizing rice farming across Southeast Asia — building the digital infrastructure that makes rice cultivation more productive, more resilient, and dramatically more sustainable.
Rice farming accounts for approximately 12% of global methane emissions (and ~30% in Southeast Asia), yet it supports the livelihoods of millions of smallholder farmers. The transition to modern, measurable, lower-emission farming is inevitable — but it only works if there's trusted last-mile infrastructure (identity, land, task execution, payments, and verifiable data).
Our mission is three-fold:
Location: Bangalore or Jakarta (hybrid), with occasional field and country visits
This is a senior design leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable setting vision and rolling up their sleeves. You will be the first dedicated design leader at Rize — owning the craft, the system, and the culture of design across a complex, multi-surface product.
You will lead two existing product designers and collaborate daily with Product Managers and Engineers to ship a platform used by field agronomists in rice paddies, operations coordinators in offices, and country managers making decisions from dashboards.
This is not a role for someone who wants to hand off briefs and wait. It's for someone who thinks in systems, moves fast, and cares deeply about the person on the other end of the screen — whether that's a farmer, an agronomist, or an operations analyst.
